Engineers, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer to join our team. This person needs to be a registered (licensed) professional engineer. Registration in Texas is a requirement. Current registration in Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico is a plus. Applicant must be willing to obtain registration in Louisiana immediately. Applicant must be willing to obtain registration in Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico when project work requires such registration.
Applicant may choose to work from one of our offices in Austin, Longview or Tyler, Texas.
This EE-PE will work on a multi-site (multi-office) team with Electrical Engineer P.E’s and CAD Tech’s on a variety of private and public sector projects, including water/wastewater treatment facilities, streetscapes, parks, service centers, solid waste facilities, standby power systems, aviation airfield systems, aviation terminal buildings, aircraft hangars, aircraft repair facilities, office buildings, schools, fire stations, shopping centers, oil field pipeline pump stations, oil field loading facilities and industrial manufacturing facilities.
The EE-PE will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. This individual will provide engineering studies including illumination, voltage drop, load flow and over-current coordination; designs for electrical drawings, Word documents for specifications and supporting engineering calculations, as well as the review of shop drawings during construction. Experience in the design of building related electrical systems such as lighting and controls, power systems (normal and emergency), and low voltage systems (telecommunications, fire alarm, security) is a plus. This individual should be self motivated and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound electrical designs.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university degree program

Registered PE in the State of Texas
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm a plus
Aptitude and/or demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications such as AutoCAD a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel required
Responsive and results oriented in service to clients
Ability to plan, schedule work and complete work assignments within established budgets and timelines
A good communicator
Applicants with airport lighting, ILS, NAVAIDS experience will be given strong consideration
